Registration

Unofficial Results
Conducts all elections held in the County and
maintains voter registration records.
General
Election: First Tuesday after the first
Monday in November in even numbered years.
City
Election: First Tuesday after the first
Monday in November in odd numbered years.
School Election: Second Tuesday in
September in odd numbered years.
Anyone not previously registered to vote, may
do so by contacting the Auditors Office. Click here to print the

ABSENTEE REQUEST:
You can request an application for absentee ballot
in the office of the County Auditor.

Real Estate/Taxation
Maintains property ownership records in the
county. Determines levies and certifies property taxes
to Treasurer based on valuations and certified local
budgets. |
Budget
Prepares County's annual budget. Conduit for
other local budgets filed with State.(Schools, cities,
townships, etc.)

Payroll/Accounting
Performs payroll and related functions for
County, and maintains record books of
revenues/Expenditures of County, issues payment for
claims approved by Board of
Supervisors. |
Clerk to Board of
Supervisors
Prepares agenda and notifies media of
meetings. Attends board meetings and records official
board proceedings. Publishes
minutes. |
Passports
As
agent, assists in completing and mailing applications
for passports as issued by the US Department of
State. |

Other
Duties
Official Custodian of courthouse under
direction of Board of Supervisors. Issues beer, liquor
& cigarette permits on behalf of State of Iowa for
unincorporated areas of
county.
